Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club to Host 32nd UAE President Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses

Abu Dhabi, October 17, 2024 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club (ADEC) will host the 32nd edition of the UAE President Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses on December 15, 2024, under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and President of ADEC. This highly anticipated event marks the season’s Grand Prix, showcasing the UAE's prestigious Arabian horse racing heritage.


The Group 1 race will span 2,200 meters, with a prize purse of AED 8 million, reflecting a significant AED 3.5 million increase from previous editions. This boost underscores the UAE’s dedication to elevating the profile of Arabian horse racing on the global stage.


Eng. Ali Al Shaiba, Director-General of ADEC, expressed his gratitude to H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his steadfast support: “We are honoured to host the final stage of the UAE President Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses. First established in 1994 by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE President Cup was created to celebrate the unique qualities of purebred Arabian horses, renowned for their endurance, agility, and beauty. Today, the UAE President Cup stands as one of the most prestigious events in the world of purebred Arabian horse racing, attracting top racehorse owners, trainers, and jockeys from across the globe.


This year’s expanded prize offering and international participation promise an unforgettable racing experience, further cementing the UAE’s position as a leader in promoting and sustaining Arabian equestrian sports.
