AROYA Cruise Sets Sail for Jeddah, Marking a New Era in Arabian Cruise Tourism
Jeddah, November 25 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – AROYA Cruise, the first vessel of the pioneering Arabian cruise line AROYA Cruises, has departed from Bremerhaven, Germany, on its journey to its homeport in Jeddah.
Owned by Cruise Saudi, a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), AROYA underwent extensive dry docking and renovations in Bremerhaven and Rotterdam. The ship’s interior has been revamped by 95%, making it the world’s most extensively refurbished cruise ship. The redesign embodies the brand's "Remarkably Arabian" experience, blending luxury with Arabian culture.
The vessel features a souq-inspired shopping district, a world-class spa, 29 dining venues, 20 entertainment spots, lounges, cafés, and dedicated kids' play areas.
On December 16, AROYA will embark on its maiden voyage—a three-night cruise to a private Red Sea island developed by Cruise Saudi—offering passengers a unique and exclusive experience.
This milestone underscores Saudi Arabia’s growing prominence in global cruise tourism, aligning with its Vision 2030 goals to diversify the economy and showcase the Kingdom’s unique cultural and natural attractions.
