Aseer Region Hosts Fourth Annual Pomegranate Festival to Promote Local Agriculture
Riyadh, October 1, 2024 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture in the Aseer region launched the fourth annual Pomegranate Festival today at Marhabeen Park in Sarat Abida. The festival, which will run for three days, features 50 booths showcasing the products of local farmers and pomegranate producers.
Ismail Al Sultan, Director of the Ministry’s office in Sarat Abida, highlighted the region’s robust pomegranate farming sector, noting that there are over 1,500 pomegranate farms in the area, with a total of 13,000 trees of various types. The festival aims to promote and market farmers' products while supporting small producers through various agricultural programs, including events like this one.
The Pomegranate Festival not only celebrates local produce but also serves as an important platform for encouraging sustainable agriculture and fostering economic growth in the region.
