Riyadh, April 10 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Diriyah Company has partnered with the Pantone Color Institute to launch “Diriyah Tan,” a signature color that encapsulates the rich heritage, cultural depth, and future aspirations of Diriyah, the historical “City of Earth.” The announcement marks a significant milestone in Saudi Arabia’s efforts to position Diriyah as a leading cultural and tourism destination, targeting 50 million annual visitors by 2030.

“Diriyah Tan” is inspired by the golden tones of the region’s iconic mud-brick architecture, with its palette derived from authentic building materials collected from fifteen sites across the Kingdom. This carefully crafted shade reflects the historical essence of Diriyah and showcases its role as a beacon of Saudi identity and Najdi architectural excellence.

The color was designed to celebrate Diriyah’s past while signaling its future as a global hub for culture, education, and leadership. At the heart of this initiative lies the UNESCO World Heritage Site of At-Turaif, whose mud-brick structures served as the foundation for the color’s development.

Jerry Inzerillo, Group CEO of Diriyah Company, described the launch as a tribute to the traditions and legacy of the Saudi people. “Diriyah Tan captures the authenticity of Najdi design and stands as a proud symbol of our Kingdom’s cultural story. It’s more than a color—it’s a reflection of who we are and what we aim to become,” he said.

Laurie Pressman, Vice President of the Pantone Color Institute, emphasized the emotional and symbolic power of the shade. “Diriyah Tan honors the warmth, resilience, and historical significance of the mud-brick architecture of Diriyah. It represents a unique connection between past and future, tradition and innovation.”

Pantone’s team drew inspiration from the interplay of sunlight and the natural textures of At-Turaif’s ancient structures, crafting a golden hue that resonates with the spirit of the location and its people.

The unveiling of Diriyah Tan is part of the broader visual identity of the Diriyah development project, reflecting its commitment to cultural preservation, global dialogue, and future leadership. As Diriyah continues to evolve into a world-class destination, the new color will serve as a visual and symbolic link between heritage and innovation, inspiring generations to come.

The Diriyah project is a central component of Saudi Vision 2030, aimed at diversifying the Kingdom’s economy and celebrating its cultural heritage through sustainable development and international engagement.
