Dubai, March 2, 2025 – Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office, and Ferjan Dubai have announced the launch of the "Dubai's Best Decorated Ramadan Homes" competition, encouraging residents to celebrate the spirit of Ramadan by transforming their homes with festive decorations and lights.

The competition offers substantial prizes, with the first-place winner receiving AED 100,000, followed by AED 60,000 for second place and AED 40,000 for third.

Additionally, seven participants will be awarded Umrah trips for two.

Aligned with the ‘Year of the Community’ initiative, the competition aims to strengthen cultural heritage and reinforce social bonds by encouraging families to share their traditions and contribute to the city's festive atmosphere.

"Dubai thrives on creativity and innovation, and this competition offers a unique opportunity for families to celebrate traditions while engaging with the wider community," said Shaima Al Suwaidi, Director of Brand Dubai. "By decorating their homes, residents contribute to a collective celebration that extends beyond their doorsteps, fostering stronger social ties in the city."

How to Participate

The competition is open exclusively to Dubai residents, with the following requirements:

  • Home façades must feature Ramadan-themed lights and decorations.

  • The #RamadanInDubai logo may be incorporated into the display.

  • Participants must upload a video as an Instagram Reel on their public Instagram account, tagging @branddubai and @ferjan.dubai, and including the official hashtag #Dubai’s_Best_Decorated_Ramadan_Homes_2025.

The submission deadline is March 21, 2025, and a panel of judges will select winners based on creativity and visual appeal. To ensure diversity, no two winners will be from the same neighborhood.

Fostering Community Spirit

Ferjan Dubai CEO Aliya Al Shamlan emphasized that 2025’s ‘Year of the Community’ highlights the role of traditions in strengthening Dubai’s social fabric. “Decorating homes is more than a festive gesture—it’s a way for residents to express their identity, take pride in their surroundings, and contribute to a joyful citywide atmosphere,” she said.

Meanwhile, Sarah Merdas, a member of the #RamadanInDubai campaign team, noted that the initiative celebrates Dubai’s unique community spirit. "This is an opportunity for residents to showcase their traditions while contributing to the festive atmosphere that brings neighborhoods together. By participating, families not only add to the city's visual charm but also create lasting memories."

Now in its second year, the #RamadanInDubai campaign, led by Brand Dubai in collaboration with government and private sector partners, aims to enhance the city’s Ramadan celebrations and cultural identity throughout the Holy Month.
