Dubai Launches UAE’s First Sports & Entertainment Free Zone

Dubai, March 11, 2025 – Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) has announced the launch of the International Sports & Entertainment Free Zone, the UAE’s first dedicated business cluster for the sports and entertainment industries within a Free Zone environment.
The new zone aims to serve as a specialized business hub, facilitating licensing for sports and entertainment companies while fostering a collaborative ecosystem to accelerate industry growth.
According to DWTC, the zone will unify licensing processes across a wide range of sectors, including sports management, event organization, talent representation, marketing, and media broadcasting. It will also support emerging fields such as e-sports, AI-driven sports technologies, and fan token initiatives.
The zone is expected to attract global industry players, including sports leagues, franchises, rights holders, investors, talent agencies, artists, influencers, and media personalities.
With this initiative, Dubai reinforces its position as a global hub for sports and entertainment, providing businesses with a streamlined regulatory environment to enhance innovation, investment, and industry collaboration.
