ABU DHABI, December 18, 2024 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - The Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), part of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), has announced its 2025 Retail Calendar, featuring 18 citywide events aimed at enhancing Dubai's retail and tourism sectors.


The calendar aligns with Dubai's Economic Agenda (D33) and is designed to position the city as a global hub for business and leisure. The programme includes iconic events such as the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF), Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS), Ramadan in Dubai, and Eid in Dubai, offering diverse cultural, entertainment, and shopping experiences.



Strategic Vision and Economic Goals


Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of DFRE, highlighted the strategic importance of the Retail Calendar, starting. "The 2025 Retail Calendar is structured around a full year of seasonal festivals and campaigns that cater to diverse populations and reflect Dubai's vision as a leading global events hub. This initiative not only supports as a premier shopping, tourism, and entertainment destinations".


The calendar is expected to attract significant international visitor footfall, aligning with D33's goals to enhance Dubai's appeal as a top destination for shopping and cultural experiences.


Key Highlights of the 2025 Programme


  1. Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF): The world's largest-running retail festival will continue to offer unparalleled shopping and entertainment experiences.

  2. Dubai Esports and Games Festival (DEF): Returning for its fourth edition from April 25 to May 11, 2025, DEF will feature esports tournaments, gaming expos, and family-oriented events.

  3. Dubai Fashion Season: Dedicated to showcasing Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter collections, cementing Dubai's role as a global fashion hub.

  4. Seasonal Campaigns: Events such as Ramadan in Dubai and Eid in Dubai will offer tailored cultural and retail experiences.
