Egypt, AGFUND Sign Cooperation Protocol to Enhance Early Childhood Education

Cairo, March 13, 2025 – Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, President of the Arab Gulf Programme for Development (AGFUND) and Chairman of the Arab Council for Childhood and Development (ACCD), attended the signing ceremony of a cooperation protocol in Cairo.


The agreement, signed between Egypt’s Education Development Fund (EDF) and ACCD, aims to strengthen the Early Childhood Development Center in Sixth of October City, enhancing its capacity to serve as a primary support hub for local kindergartens.


Dr. Madbouly reaffirmed the Egyptian government’s commitment to high-quality education, emphasizing the "Generation Alpha Kindergarten" project. This initiative is designed to equip children for primary education, laying the foundation for an advanced, integrated society.


Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal stressed the importance of early childhood education in shaping future generations, highlighting the need to create a nurturing educational and psychological environment. He emphasized that investing in early childhood is crucial for building strong, cohesive societies capable of facing future challenges.


The agreement represents a significant step in improving early childhood education in Egypt, fostering collaboration between regional development programs and national educational strategies to ensure a better future for young learners.
