flynas Launches Direct Flights Between Madinah and Cairo's Sphinx Airport
Riyadh, November 19 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – flynas, the leading low-cost carrier in the Middle East, announced the launch of three weekly direct flights between Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah and Sphinx International Airport in Cairo. Starting December 11, flights will operate on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, enhancing connectivity between Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
The new route is part of flynas's expansion strategy titled "We Connect the World to the Kingdom," aligning with Saudi Arabia's National Civil Aviation Strategy. The initiative aims to enable national carriers to connect the Kingdom with 250 international destinations, accommodate 330 million passengers, and host 150 million tourists annually by 2030. It also supports the Pilgrim Experience Program (PEP) by facilitating access to the Two Holy Mosques.
flynas currently operates over 120 weekly direct flights between Saudi Arabia and Egypt from five Saudi cities—Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Madinah, and Al-Ula—to destinations including Cairo, Sohag, Sharm El-Sheikh, Hurghada, and El Alamein. The addition of the Madinah to Sphinx Airport route complements existing services to Cairo International Airport and expands options for travelers.
Since its inception in 2007, flynas has transported more than 80 million passengers, offering over 1,500 weekly flights to more than 70 domestic and international destinations. The airline aims to reach 165 destinations, supporting the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to boost tourism and economic growth.
