flynas Reports Strong Q1 2024 Results, Poised for Continued Growth

In a press release issued today, flynas, Saudi Arabia's leading low-cost carrier, unveiled its operational results for the first quarter of 2024, showcasing impressive growth figures and affirming its commitment to ambitious expansion strategies. Compared to the same period last year, flynas reported robust performance metrics, driven by a surge in passenger demand and strategic fleet expansion initiatives.

During Q1 2024, flynas recorded a remarkable milestone, welcoming 3.7 million passengers on board its flights, marking an impressive 51% increase over Q1 2023. This surge in passenger numbers underscores the airline's growing popularity and its ability to cater to evolving travel needs effectively.

A significant highlight of flynas' Q1 2024 performance is the record-breaking 43% increase in overall seat capacity compared to the same period in 2023. This substantial expansion in seat capacity was primarily fueled by robust growth in both domestic and international routes, with increases of 45% and 40% respectively. The airline's ability to accommodate such exponential growth is a testament to its agility and responsiveness to market dynamics.

flynas' Managing Director and CEO, Bander Almohanna, expressed confidence in the airline's growth trajectory, attributing the strong start to the year to its ambitious growth strategy. Almohanna emphasized flynas' commitment to leveraging the Kingdom's economic growth and meeting the escalating demand for air travel by expanding its customer base, enhancing operational efficiency, and investing in talent and fleet expansion.

Looking ahead, flynas remains steadfast in its growth aspirations, with a focus on expanding its route network, launching new destinations, and enhancing its loyalty program. Almohanna reiterated the airline's commitment to supporting the development of the tourism and aviation sectors in alignment with the National Civil Aviation Strategy and the Pilgrim Experience Program.

flynas plays a pivotal role in fulfilling the objectives of the Kingdom's National Civil Aviation Strategy, aiming to connect Saudi Arabia with 250 international destinations, accommodate 330 million passengers, and host 100 million tourists annually by 2030. In 2023, flynas launched 39 new routes to 18 destinations in 10 new countries, underscoring its commitment to expanding connectivity and fostering global partnerships.

With a robust operational infrastructure and a commitment to excellence, flynas operates more than 1,500 weekly flights to over 70 domestic and international destinations. The airline's dedication to delivering exceptional service has been recognized globally, earning prestigious accolades such as the Skytrax International Award for the 4th "Best LCC worldwide" and the "Best Low-cost Airline in the Middle East" in 2023, as well as the "Best Low-cost Airline Award" in the Middle East from the World Travel Awards in 2024, affirming its position as a leader in the aviation industry.
