Riyadh, April 3 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Albudaiwi has strongly condemned the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by an Israeli minister accompanied by a group of extremist settlers, describing the act as a blatant violation of Islamic sanctities and an attempt to further destabilize security in the Palestinian territories.
In an official statement, Albudaiwi stated that the repeated incursions by Israeli settlers and officials into the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque represent a serious breach of international law and a violation of the historical and legal status quo in Jerusalem.
He emphasized that the actions constitute a provocation to the sentiments of Muslims worldwide and a dangerous escalation that risks fueling further unrest and perpetuating a cycle of violence in the region.
Albudaiwi reaffirmed the GCC’s firm stance in support of the Palestinian cause and called on the international community to assume its responsibilities in putting an end to these violations and ensuring the protection of Islamic holy sites in Jerusalem.
