Riyadh, September 9, 2024 – Today, Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah participated in the GCC-Russia Joint Ministerial Meeting for Strategic Dialogue, held at the Secretariat General of the Gulf Cooperation Council in Riyadh.
The meeting provided a platform for examining the current state of GCC-Russian relations and exploring avenues to enhance and broaden cooperation. Participants also addressed the ongoing Russia-Ukraine crisis, discussing the international community's efforts to achieve a peaceful resolution and support initiatives aimed at global peace and security.
The session highlighted the necessity for increased coordination on both regional and international issues, emphasizing the importance of multilateral cooperation and robust economic collaboration to advance the global Sustainable Development Goals. Also in attendance were Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Waleed El-Khereiji and Deputy Minister for International Multilateral Affairs and General Supervisor of the Public Diplomacy Deputyship Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Rassi.
