MAKKAH, March 20 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque has significantly ramped up service capacity at the Grand Mosque in preparation for the final ten days of Ramadan, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

Thousands of personnel and specialized equipment have been deployed to ensure the highest quality of services for worshippers both inside the mosque and in its surrounding courtyards. According to SPA, teams have been stationed at 38 locations to answer inquiries and provide assistance, while dedicated cleaning crews are capable of completing cleaning operations in just 35 minutes.

Perfuming services are being carried out 20 times daily, using more than two kilograms of oud to enhance the spiritual atmosphere. In terms of infrastructure readiness, the authority has prepared 428 escalators, 28 elevators, 1,300 electric speakers, and power sources totaling up to 90,000 tons for cooling systems.

Additionally, the Grand Mosque now offers free luggage storage, designated prayer areas for the elderly and people with disabilities, and a 24/7 childcare center. Special carts are also available to assist worshippers in performing rituals. Prayer areas have been arranged for itikaf during the last ten days of Ramadan, and a unified digital platform has been launched for reserving transportation to ensure a seamless and comfortable experience for all visitors.
