Ithra Welcomes Over 100,000 Visitors During Eid Celebrations with Cultural Events and Interactive Exhibits

Dhahran, April 5 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) received more than 100,000 visitors over a three-day Eid holiday period, offering a diverse array of cultural programming, interactive exhibits, and family-oriented activities.

The celebrations featured a rich lineup of performances, workshops, and shows designed to engage audiences of all ages. At the Children’s Museum, young visitors took part in creative activities including “Eid in a Bag,” where they designed personalized gift bags, and the “World Table” workshop, introducing global culinary traditions. Other highlights included “The Scent of Eid,” “Eid Riddles,” “Balloon Art,” and the theatrical experience “What If I Were the Sky.”

Families also gathered in the Ithra Gardens, where outdoor performances such as “Between the Clouds” and “Between Memories” entertained audiences in a scenic setting. Meanwhile, the Energy Exhibit attracted large crowds with interactive activities like “Let’s Fly with Science,” “Fun Without Corners,” and “What Does the Light Hide?”—blending education with play.

The Eid programming concluded with cinematic screenings and live musical performances, including a well-received show that combined video game music with live piano and guitar. The innovative blend of traditional celebration and modern entertainment drew praise from attendees, with many describing Ithra’s offering as transforming the spirit of Eid into “a beautiful painting.”

The high turnout underscores Ithra’s role as a leading cultural destination in the Kingdom, reflecting growing public interest in accessible, high-quality cultural programming.
