Jeddah, April 19 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Jeddah Corniche Circuit will host the main race of the Formula 1 stc Saudi Arabian Grand Prix tomorrow, marking the fifth round of the 2025 Formula 1 World Championship and the fifth consecutive edition of the event to be held in the Kingdom under the oversight of the Ministry of Sport.
In a statement marking the occasion, Minister of Sport Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal, Chairman of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, extended his gratitude to the Kingdom’s wise leadership for the continued support and investment in the national sports sector. He emphasized that this sustained backing has been instrumental in achieving significant milestones in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals.
“The Formula 1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix is more than just a race—it is a reflection of the Kingdom’s commitment to developing motorsports and delivering world-class sports and entertainment experiences,” the Minister said. “Hosting this global event for the fifth year in a row underscores our ambition to position Saudi Arabia at the forefront of the international sports scene.”
The Jeddah Corniche Circuit—widely recognized as the fastest street circuit in the world—is a technical feat in motorsport design. With 27 corners, it holds the record for the most turns of any track in the Formula 1 championship. The 6.174-kilometre circuit features 16 left-hand and 11 right-hand turns, challenging drivers to maintain precision and speed while reaching maximum velocities of up to 322 km/h.
Set against the scenic backdrop of Jeddah’s coastline, the circuit has become a global symbol of Saudi Arabia’s growing prominence in international sports hosting.
