Mleiha National Park Invites Visitors to ‘Come Closer’ to History, Culture, and Nature
Sharjah, February 3, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Mleiha National Park, a cornerstone of Sharjah’s dedication to preserving its historical and ecological heritage, has launched the Come Closer campaign—an initiative designed to offer visitors a deeper connection with nature, culture, adventure, and history. This campaign reaffirms the park’s mission of immersing guests in over 200,000 years of human existence and natural wonder.
Spanning 34.2 square kilometers, Mleiha National Park was established under an Emiri Decree by H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. Developed and managed by Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), the park recently completed its fencing project in collaboration with the Directorate of Public Works (DPW) to further protect and preserve the region’s cultural and environmental significance.
A Commitment to Conservation and Heritage
Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer, CEO of Shurooq, described the campaign and fencing project as milestones in Sharjah’s sustainable tourism and conservation efforts.
"The launch of our Come Closer campaign and the completion of the Mleiha National Park fencing project marks a major step in our commitment to preserving and showcasing Sharjah’s rich cultural and natural heritage," he stated.
He further credited the initiative’s success to the visionary leadership of H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi and the dedicated guidance of Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of Shurooq. “The Mleiha National Park stands as a pillar of Sharjah’s sustainable tourism model, inviting visitors to explore history, culture, and nature in one place,” he added.
