Najran, March 13, 2025 – Rural tourism in Najran is emerging as a major attraction, offering visitors a blend of stunning landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and immersive local experiences. The region's picturesque mudbrick houses, lush valleys, and warm hospitality provide an ideal retreat for those looking to unwind and explore authentic Saudi traditions.

Speaking to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Ibrahim Al Mansour, Head of the Tourism Cooperative Society in Najran, highlighted the growing interest in rural tourism from both domestic and international travelers. He noted that villages along Wadi Najran present an unmatched experience with centuries-old mud palaces, lush orchards of palm trees, and sprawling wheat and grape fields framed by breathtaking mountain views.

Beyond the landscapes, visitors are drawn to Najran's deep-rooted traditions. “The locals take pride in welcoming tourists into their homes, offering a taste of traditional cuisine, refreshing beverages, and an introduction to local customs,” Al Mansour explained.

In Al-Hudn village, home to historic landmarks like Raum Castle and Al-Aan Palace, farmer Ahmed Nasser spoke of the region’s agricultural charm. “Tourists come not only for the scenery but to explore traditional farming practices. We’ve even started experimenting with cultivating strawberries, coffee, grapes, and dates using modern techniques,” he said.

Najran's rural trails along the Najran Valley also offer stunning viewpoints, making them a year-round attraction. During Ramadan, these trails become especially popular, as visitors gather in serene natural settings before Iftar, embracing the region’s tranquil atmosphere.

With its unique mix of history, nature, and culture, Najran’s rural tourism is carving a niche in the Kingdom’s expanding travel landscape, offering a distinctive experience for adventurers and culture seekers alike.
