RIYADH (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – NEOM, the ambitious sustainable development project in northwest Saudi Arabia, has announced the return of the NEOM Beach Games, set to take place from November 3 to 23. This third annual event will welcome over 1,000 athletes, coaches, and team officials from around the world to compete in six diverse sports events.
The games kick off on November 3 with the Supertri NEOM triathlon. Following that, the FIBA 3x3 World Tour NEOM 2024 basketball tournament, organized by the International Basketball Federation, will run from November 7 to 9. Elite climbers will then showcase their skills during the NEOM IFSC Masters from November 11 to 13.
The excitement continues with the NEOM Beach Soccer Cup scheduled for November 13 to 16, bringing beach soccer action to the stunning Red Sea coast. From November 18 to 22, mountain bikers will face the NEOM TITAN Desert, a challenging event set against the region’s dramatic landscape.
A notable highlight this year is the debut of the World Aquatics Open Water Swimming World Cup NEOM. Taking place on November 22 and 23, it will gather top swimmers from around the globe, concluding the games with a thrilling competition in the Red Sea waters.
This year’s lineup features renowned athletes, including Olympic gold medalists Cassandre Beaugrand, Alex Yee, basketball star Worthy De Jong, and speed climber Veddriq Leonardo, among other world-class competitors. The NEOM Beach Games continue to elevate the region’s global sporting profile, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s vision of promoting diverse athletic events and sustainable development.
