Netanyahu Vows Retaliation After Iranian Missile Attack on Israel

Riyadh, October 1, 2024 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that Iran "made a big mistake" and "will pay" for launching hundreds of missiles at Israel on Tuesday. In a video released by the Israeli government's press office, Netanyahu addressed the nation following the attack, which was successfully thwarted by Israel's advanced air defense system.

“Tonight, Iran again attacked Israel with hundreds of missiles. This attack failed. It was thwarted thanks to Israel’s air defense system, which is the most advanced in the world,” Netanyahu said during a meeting with his political security cabinet. He also praised the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) for their "impressive achievement" and acknowledged the vigilance of Israeli citizens in contributing to the defense efforts.

Netanyahu expressed gratitude to the United States for its support, emphasizing that Israel's defense is a shared priority. “Iran made a big mistake tonight – and it will pay for it. The regime in Iran does not understand our determination to defend ourselves and retaliate against our enemies,” he stated. Netanyahu reaffirmed Israel's stance, saying, “We will stand by the rule we established: whoever attacks us — we will attack him.”

The Prime Minister also addressed the recent attack in Tel Aviv's Jaffa neighborhood, offering condolences to the families of the victims. “As with the missile attack, there is also a deliberate and murderous hand behind this attack – it comes from Tehran,” he said, reinforcing his message of firm retaliation against Iranian aggression.
