Public Investment Fund and Formula E Launch Global STEM and Sustainability Program “Driving Force Presented by PIF”

Riyadh, April 11, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Public Investment Fund (PIF) and Formula E today announced the launch of “Driving Force Presented by PIF,” a pioneering global educational initiative designed to empower youth in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), while promoting sustainability and future mobility solutions.
As the program debuts in South Florida ahead of the April 12 Miami E-Prix, it marks the most significant expansion since its inception in June 2024. The educational platform aims to reach more than 50,000 students between the ages of 8 and 18 across Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, and the United States, through a combination of interactive workshops, digital resources, and hands-on learning.
Developed in collaboration with Formula E, the initiative forms part of the broader PIF E360 strategy—an innovative partnership that unites Formula E, Extreme H, and E1 electric powerboat racing under one vision: to accelerate progress in electric motorsport and green technology.
“Since introducing the PIF E360 partnership last year, Formula E and PIF continue to look for opportunities to make a positive, real-world impact,” said Alejandro Agag, founder and chairman of Formula E, Extreme H, and E1. “Driving Force Presented by PIF is an example of how PIF is not only elevating motorsports but also inspiring the next generation of talent through STEM education, which plays a crucial role in sustainable mobility.”
The program’s first workshop was held at Keys Gate Charter School in Miami, where students engaged in active learning sessions designed to spark curiosity in sustainable motorsports and engineering.
Mohammed AlSayyad, Head of Corporate Brand at PIF, emphasized the initiative’s alignment with broader goals: “PIF is committed to supercharging the growth and transformation of electric motorsport, and through our partnership with E360, we are collaborating with our partners to accelerate progress, maximize impact, and deliver powerful unified programs.”
The announcement also marked the launch of “Supercharged,” a campaign by PIF aimed at redefining electric racing and championing technological breakthroughs. Through “Driving Force,” the initiative envisions a new generation of engineers, sustainability experts, and innovators who will shape the future of global mobility.
By combining education with high-impact global sports, the program reflects Saudi Arabia’s strategic commitment to sustainable development and youth empowerment, in line with Vision 2030.
