Record Number of Visitors to Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifa Announced by General Authority

MADINAH, June 24, 2024 — The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah has reported that 1,403,640 visitors have visited Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifa between Dhul-Qidah 1 and Dhul-Hijjah 14, 1445 AH.

According to the Authority, the area of Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifa spans 330 square meters and can accommodate up to 800 visitors per hour, allowing an average of 10 minutes per visitor. The number of male visitors totaled 762,101, while female visitors numbered 641,539.

The Authority detailed the four stages involved in managing the influx of visitors to Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifa: verifying appointment bookings through the Nusuk and Tawakkalna applications, scanning QR codes via e-devices, directing visitors to waiting areas inside the Prophet's Mosque, and facilitating their entry into Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifa.

In collaboration with security and service agencies at the mosque, the Authority has implemented measures to streamline the process for visitors and worshippers wishing to pray at Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifa and visit the tombs of Prophet Muhammad and his two companions. These efforts are in alignment with the leadership's aspirations to serve the visitors and worshippers at the Prophet's Mosque.

The significant number of visitors highlights the continuing devotion of Muslims worldwide to visit this sacred site. The General Authority remains committed to enhancing the visitor experience and ensuring the smooth management of one of Islam's most revered places.
