Riyadh Tour Concludes Fourth Leg of Global Champions Arabians Tour with Prestigious Show and Record Prize Purse

Saudi Arabia Breaking News | April 13, 2025

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – The fourth leg of the 2025 Global Champions Arabians Tour concluded Saturday evening at the Jump Saudi arena in Riyadh, drawing global attention to one of the most prestigious events in the Arabian horse show calendar. Organized by the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation, the Riyadh Tour showcased 212 horses representing leading international studs, competing for a prize purse exceeding €24 million.

The event marked a significant milestone in Saudi Arabia’s broader vision to position itself as a global center for equestrian excellence. Designed to elevate the standards of Arabian horse competitions, the Riyadh Tour also served as a platform for cultural exchange and international cooperation within the sport. The competition’s success reinforces the goals of the Ministry of Sport in advancing the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, particularly in enhancing the Kingdom’s presence in global sporting events and increasing private sector investment in sports.

This year’s Global Champions Arabians Tour, now in its second and expanded edition, began in Ajman, United Arab Emirates, in January, followed by rounds in Doha, Qatar, and Muscat, Oman. Riyadh was the fourth of nine stages scheduled for the 2025 season.

The tour will now continue to Europe, with upcoming rounds in Cannes (France), Valkenswaard (Netherlands), London (United Kingdom), and Rome (Italy). The grand finale is set for December in Doha, Qatar.

Through this ambitious series, the Kingdom continues to strengthen its leadership role in the equestrian world, while fostering heritage sports and encouraging global participation and investment in the Arabian horse industry.
