Saudi Arabia Bans Luggage In Prophet's Mosque

Saudi Arabia has announced new rules for worshippers visiting the Prophet's Mosque in Medina, Islam's second holiest site. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah issued guidelines saying the luggage may not be taken into prayer areas inside the mosque.

The ministry said that small luggage items, such as bags and suitcases, are prohibited from entering the areas designed for prayer. Worshippers can use the safety boxes outside the mosque to store these items securely. The ministry also said that oversized luggage should not be brought into the mosque premises or thrown in the outdoor courtyards nearby, as there is limited space available in the safety boxes for such items.

The ministry explained that these regulations are meant to ensure a safe and organized visit to the Prophet's Mosque.
