Saudi Arabia Begins Accepting Electronic Makkah Entry Permit Applications for Resident Workers During Hajj

Riyadh, April 16 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The General Directorate of Passports announced on Tuesday the launch of electronic services for issuing Makkah entry permits for resident workers during the Hajj season, streamlining the process through integrated digital platforms.

The move allows applicants to obtain necessary permits without visiting passport department offices, as all procedures are now available via the Ministry of Interior’s Absher platform and the Muqeem Portal. The new system is fully integrated with the Tasreeh platform, the unified digital platform for Hajj permit issuance.

Through the Absher Individuals platform, residents can apply for permits for domestic workers, dependents, Premium Residency holders, investors, mothers of citizens, and citizens of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, provided all required documents are attached.

For establishments based in Makkah and workers with seasonal contracts during the Hajj season, entry permits can be obtained via the Muqeem portal. This includes workers with seasonal work visas or verified employment agreements.

The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to digitize services and enhance operational efficiency during the Hajj season, in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals.
