Saudi Arabia Condemns Israeli Attacks on Civilians in Gaza, Calls for Immediate International Intervention

Riyadh, May 27, 2024 — The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has issued a stern condemnation of the continued massacres carried out by Israeli occupation forces, particularly targeting unarmed civilians in the Gaza Strip. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement today, decrying the latest attack on tents housing displaced Palestinians near the warehouses of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), northwest of Rafah.

The statement emphasized the Kingdom's categorical rejection of the ongoing and flagrant violations by Israeli forces against international and humanitarian resolutions, laws, and norms. "The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia condemns in the strongest terms the continued massacres carried out by the Israeli occupation forces, and their targeting of unarmed civilians in Gaza Strip," the Ministry declared.

Saudi Arabia has called on the international community to intervene immediately to end the massacres and prevent the further deterioration of the unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe facing the Palestinian people. The Ministry stressed the urgency of halting the violence to limit the worsening situation and provide relief to the brotherly Palestinian people.

The Kingdom's strong stance reflects a broader international outcry over the escalating violence in Gaza, with calls for a ceasefire and increased humanitarian efforts. The latest Israeli attacks have resulted in significant civilian casualties, drawing global condemnation and appeals for immediate action to protect innocent lives.
