Saudi Arabia Establishes General Directorate for Community Security and Combating Human Trafficking

Riyadh, February 14, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Under the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Ministry of Interior has announced the establishment of the General Directorate for Community Security and Combating Human Trafficking Crimes, operating under the General Directorate of Public Security.
The initiative is part of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency of the security system and prevent crime, reinforcing national and international commitments to combat human trafficking and protect individual rights.
According to the ministry, the newly established directorate will focus on eradicating crimes that violate personal rights, infringe upon fundamental freedoms protected by Sharia law and the Kingdom’s legal framework, or compromise individual dignity.
The directorate’s key responsibilities include:
Combating crimes related to human trafficking and ensuring strict enforcement of laws protecting vulnerable individuals.
Strengthening community security and safety by dismantling criminal networks.
Coordinating efforts with local and international authorities to implement best practices in crime prevention and security management.
This initiative underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to strengthening law enforcement mechanisms, upholding human rights, and enhancing community protection, in line with Vision 2030 objectives.
