Riyadh, November 25, 2024 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Arabia’s bid to host the FIFA World Cup 2034™️ has achieved a historic milestone, receiving a score of 419.8 out of 500 in FIFA’s Bid Evaluation Report — the highest score ever recorded in the tournament’s history. The announcement comes ahead of FIFA’s extraordinary congress on December 11, 2024, where the hosts for the FIFA World Cup™️ 2030 and 2034 will be officially awarded.


The evaluation follows FIFA’s October inspection visit, during which officials reviewed Saudi Arabia’s proposed host cities, stadiums, and facilities. The bid emphasizes alignment with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and reflects support from the nation’s leadership, particularly HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal, Minister of Sport and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, expressed gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince, stating:"This score by FIFA reflects our commitment to growing the game, our rapid transformation, and our desire to host a tournament that the entire world can enjoy. It is the result of extensive collaboration across the Kingdom driven by Vision 2030."

President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation Yasser Al-Misehal emphasized the country’s football heritage and hospitality:"Football lives at the heart of Saudi culture, and we aim to deliver an extraordinary tournament that showcases the Kingdom’s rich heritage and vibrant hospitality."

Saudi Arabia’s bid, launched under the slogan "Growing. Together", is notable for its ambitious plans:

  • 48-Team Format: The first time this format will be hosted by a single country.

  • Host Cities: Matches proposed across five main cities — Riyadh, Jeddah, Khobar, Abha, and NEOM — along with 10 additional host locations.

  • Cultural Diversity: Fans will explore the Kingdom’s varied landscapes and traditions, enriching their tournament experience.

  • Sustainability Commitment: In collaboration with the Saudi Green Initiative, the bid aims to deliver an environmentally sustainable World Cup.
