Saudi Arabia's King And Crown Prince Express Condolences To China Over Floods


Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman have sent cables of condolences and sympathy to China's President Xi Jinping over the devastating floods that have hit the country in recent weeks. The King and the Crown Prince expressed their sympathy to the families of the deceased and the people of China and wished a safe return for the missing and a speedy recovery for the injured.


The King's cable read: "We have been informed of the news of the floods as a result of the torrential rains that submerged the capital, Beijing, and the resulting deaths, injuries, and missing persons, and as we share with you Excellency the pain of this affection, we send you and the families of the deceased and your friendly people our heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathy, wishing a safe return of missing, and the injured a speedy recovery".


The Crown's cable read: "I have been informed of the news of the floods resulting from the torrential rains that submerged the capital, Beijing, and the resulting deaths, injuries, and missing persons, and as we share with your Excellency the pain of this affection, I send you and the families of the deceased and your friendly people my heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathy, wishing a safe return of the missing, and the injured a speedy recovery".


The floods, caused by heavy rainfall, have affected several provinces in China, especially Henan, where more than 300 people have died and millions have been displaced. The floods have also damaged infrastructure, crops, and cultural relics. The Chinese government has mobilized rescue and relief efforts and received international support and assistance.
