Saudi Arabia Signs Executive Program with ICESCO to Train Heritage Specialists

RIYADH, February 14, 2025 (SAUDI ARABIA BREAKING NEWS) – The Heritage Commission, in the presence of Minister of Culture and Heritage Commission Chairman Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, has signed a specialized executive program with the Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ICESCO). The agreement aims to train specialists in registering heritage sites on ICESCO’s official lists.
The initiative is part of the commission’s broader strategy to enhance the regional and international presence of Saudi cultural heritage. It also seeks to equip Saudi experts with the necessary skills to prepare nomination files in line with global standards.
Under the agreement, the Heritage Commission will oversee and manage the program’s implementation in close coordination with ICESCO. The goal is to develop a skilled workforce capable of effectively preserving and documenting Saudi Arabia’s rich cultural heritage for future generations.
