Saudi Arabia Unveils AlBidayah Section at Islamic Arts Biennale 2025

JEDDAH, February 14, 2025 (SAUDI ARABIA BREAKING NEWS) - Saudi Arabia’s Diriyah Biennale Foundation has unveiled AlBidayah (The Beginning), one of the seven key sections of the upcoming Islamic Arts Biennale 2025. The exhibition, under the theme "And All That Is In Between," presents a rare and contemplative journey into material and spiritual sanctities in Islam.

AlBidayah offers a unique experience for visitors, featuring an extraordinary collection of artifacts and relics with deep religious significance. The exhibition marks the first time such treasures are being displayed outside Makkah and Madinah, including illuminated copies of the Qur’an from the Kiswah Factory of the Holy Kaaba (King Abdulaziz Complex), which adorned the Kaaba during the Islamic year 1445 AH (2023–2024).

The Islamic Arts Biennale, organized by the Diriyah Biennale Foundation, aims to foster cultural dialogue and deepen global understanding of Islamic arts. Through a diverse range of exhibitions, the event serves as a platform for artistic expression, knowledge exchange, and historical preservation.

Officials say the 2025 edition will be an immersive experience, highlighting the intersection of faith, heritage, and artistic innovation. With AlBidayah as a focal point, the Biennale is expected to draw scholars, artists, and visitors from around the world.

The Islamic Arts Biennale 2025 is set to take place in Jeddah, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s role in preserving and promoting Islamic heritage. The event underscores the Kingdom’s commitment to advancing cultural initiatives in line with Vision 2030.
