RIYADH (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired the Cabinet session in Riyadh today, addressing several significant national and international topics.

 

The Crown Prince briefed the Cabinet on the recent written message he received from the President of the Republic of Angola and his meetings with the Prime Minister of Egypt and China’s Premier. The Cabinet commended the outcomes of the Fourth Meeting of the High-Level Saudi – Chinese Joint Committee, which showcased the comprehensive strategic partnership between Saudi Arabia and China. This partnership aims to enhance cooperation across various, fields, including political, security, military, energy, trade, investment, financial, scientific, technical, cultural, and tourism sectors.

 

Following the session, Minister of media Salman bin Yousef Al-Dossary informed the Saudi Press Agency that the Cabinet praised the discussions held between the Egyptian Prime Minister and senior Saudi officials. These talks reaffirmed the strength of the fraternal relations between Saudi Arabia and Egypt and expressed a mutual desire to deepen cooperation across multiple domains to benefit both nations.

 

The Cabinet also discussed Saudi Arabia’s participation in regional and international meetings, highlighting the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to promote regional security, stability, and global cooperation. It welcomed the statement from the ministerial meeting in Madrid, emphasizing the importance of coordinating efforts to address the situation in Gaza and work towards implementing a two-state solution. The Cabinet called for an end to Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip, activation of international accountability mechanism, and facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people.

 

Saudi Arabia’s commitment to advancing nuclear energy was also a focal point, as the Cabinet reiterated the nation’s dedication to its national nuclear energy project and the construction of its first nuclear power plant. The project aims to achieve sustainable development in accordance with both national requirements and international obligations. Additionally, the Cabinet highlighted plans to host an international conference on nuclear emergencies in cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency at the end of 2025.

 

During the G20 meetings, the Kingdom stressed the need for enhancing international cooperation to achieve global food security and support the space economy through strategic transformations. The Cabinet also reviewed recent international conferences hosted by Saudi Arabia, aligning with national aspirations to strengthen the country’s global role and open new horizons for its future leadership.

 

The session celebrated the success of the 3rd Global AI Summit, which launched new initial, programs, and over 80 agreements. These efforts are expected to contribute to technological innovation, support sustainable development goals, and bolster the digital economy. The Cabinet also recognized the Kingdom’s classification as a Tier 1 – Role – modeling in the United Nations Global Cybersecurity Index (GCI) 2024, reflecting its advanced position in international cybersecurity standards.

 

On the economic front, the Cabinet reviewed key statistics, nothing the stability of inflation rates at 1.6% over the past three months and the 4.9% annual growth in non – oil activities in the second quarter of this year. These indicators underscore the Kingdom’s robust economy and the effectiveness of its strategies in addressing global economic variables.

 

The Cabinet then issued several decisions, including:

1.      Authorizing the Minister of Foreign Affairs to discuss and sign draft minutes ofr forming the Saudi-Egyptian Supreme Coordination Council.

2.      Approving an amended protocol for the establishment of the Saudi – Jordanian Coordination Council.

3.      Authorizing the Minister of Justice to discuss and sign a memorandum of understanding with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) regarding the publication of judicial decision.

4.      Authorizing the Minister of Investment to discuss and sign a draft amended annex to the investment promotion and protection agreement with Jordan.

5.      Authorizing the Minister of Education to discuss and sign a memorandum of Scientific, Youth, and Sports.

6.      Authorizing the Minister of Transport and Logistic Service to discuss a draft memorandum of understanding for technical cooperation with the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC).

7.      Approving a model for cooperation between the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) and counterpart agencies in other countries and authorizing the SFDA chairman to discuss and sign related memorandums.

8.      Approving 2025 as the Year of Handicrafts, promoting the heritage and craftsmanship of Saudi Arabia.

 

The decision reflect the Kingdom’s commitment to enhancing its regional and global partnership, advancing technological and economic development, and preserving its cultural heritage.
