Saudi Crown Prince Congratulates Swedish King On National Day




PARIS, France - His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has sent a cable of congratulations to King Carl XVI Gustaf of the Kingdom of Sweden on the anniversary of his country’s National Day.


In his cable, HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman expressed his best wishes of health and happiness to the Swedish king and further progress and prosperity to the government and people of Sweden.


The cable also conveyed the Crown Prince’s keenness to enhance the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries in various fields.


The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Sweden enjoy strong ties of friendship and cooperation that date back to more than six decades. The two countries share common views on many regional and international issues and work together to promote peace, security, and development in the world.


The two countries have also witnessed significant growth in their trade and investment relations in recent years. According to the Saudi General Authority for Statistics, the total value of Saudi exports to Sweden reached 1.2 billion riyals in 2022, while the total value of Saudi imports from Sweden reached 3.4 billion riyals in the same year.


The two countries have also signed several agreements and memoranda of understanding in various fields, such as energy, environment, health, education, culture and tourism. The two countries have also exchanged several high-level visits and delegations to enhance their mutual understanding and cooperation.


The Saudi-Swedish relations are expected to witness further development and diversification in the future, especially in light of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and its ambitious plans to transform its economy and society.
