Saudi Foreign Minister Participates in Quadripartite Meeting on Sudan in Italy

Riyadh, November 26 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah participated in a Quadripartite meeting on Sudan alongside representatives from the United Arab Emirates, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the United States on Monday. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the expanded session of the second Group of Seven (G7) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Fiuggi, Italy.


The discussions focused on developments in the Sudanese crisis and emphasized the importance of unifying international efforts to achieve an immediate ceasefire. Participants also stressed the need to de-escalate tensions and strengthen humanitarian support for those affected by the ongoing conflict.


Focus on Civilian Protection and Political Stability


The meeting underscored the urgency of implementing commitments outlined in the Jeddah Declaration, which calls for the protection of civilians and the advancement of a Sudanese-led political process. The process aims to ensure the stability of Sudan while safeguarding its sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.


Saudi Arabia’s Commitment


Prince Faisal reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s dedication to supporting efforts that promote peace and stability in Sudan, working closely with international partners to alleviate the humanitarian crisis and pave the way for sustainable political solutions.


The meeting was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Italy Prince Faisal bin Sattam bin Abdulaziz, reflecting the Kingdom’s proactive role in addressing regional challenges through diplomacy and cooperation.
