Saudi Ministry of Culture Signs Cooperation Agreement with TikTok to Promote Cultural Identity and Support Creative Talent

Riyadh, April 21 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Ministry of Culture today signed a cooperation agreement with TikTok, marking a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing Saudi Arabia’s cultural and artistic landscape through the integration of digital technology and content platforms.

The agreement was formalized during a ceremony held at the Ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh, and was signed by Noha Kattan, Deputy Minister of National Partnerships and Talent Development, on behalf of the Ministry of Culture, and Dr. Hatem Samman, CEO of Government Relations and Public Policy at TikTok in Saudi Arabia.

According to the Ministry, the agreement outlines a framework for joint initiatives that aim to serve the Saudi community, strengthen cultural and social values, and support the goals of the National Culture Strategy, in line with Kingdom Vision 2030.

The collaboration will include training programs, workshops, and support for cultural events and artistic talent development. It also seeks to enhance digital engagement with Saudi heritage and culture, promoting it through one of the world’s most influential content-sharing platforms.

"This agreement reflects our commitment to working with leading digital platforms to expand the reach and impact of Saudi cultural content, while empowering the next generation of creatives," the Ministry said in a statement.

The partnership is part of the Ministry’s broader efforts to integrate modern technologies into cultural programming, and to collaborate with entities across the public, private, and non-profit sectors to promote the Kingdom’s cultural identity and accelerate the national digital transformation.

TikTok’s regional leadership expressed support for the initiative, affirming the platform’s role in spotlighting creative expression and cultural storytelling.

The cooperation is expected to play a pivotal role in amplifying Saudi Arabia’s heritage, fostering local talent in music, art, film, literature, and digital creativity, and increasing public awareness of the Kingdom’s rich cultural landscape on a global scale.
