Severe Weather Alert: Thundershowers and Strong Winds Forecasted Across Several Regions

The National Center for Meteorology has issued a weather warning for several regions across Saudi Arabia, anticipating moderate to torrential thundershowers and strong winds. The weather disturbances are expected to impact the Jazan, Asir, Baha, Makkah, and Madinah regions throughout the day.

Residents in these areas should brace for intense weather conditions, including heavy rainfall and gusty winds, which may lead to localized flooding and potential disruption of daily activities. The meteorological agency advises the public to stay informed and prepare for possible weather-related challenges.

In addition to the severe weather forecasted for the aforementioned regions, lighter rain is anticipated in parts of the Hail, Tabuk, and Najran regions. These areas may experience moderate rainfall, which could provide some relief from the heat but also lead to slippery road conditions.

Dust-stirring winds are expected to sweep through parts of Riyadh and the Eastern regions, potentially reducing visibility and causing discomfort. Motorists are advised to exercise caution when traveling in these areas.

On the Red Sea, the wind patterns will vary significantly. The northern part of the sea will experience northerly to northwesterly winds with speeds ranging from 20 to 40 km/h. Meanwhile, the central and southern sections will face southerly to southwesterly winds at speeds between 15 and 38 km/h, along with the possibility of thunderstorms.

In the Arabian Gulf, the northern and central areas will see northwesterly to northerly winds blowing at speeds of 20 to 40 km/h. Conversely, the southern part of the Gulf will experience lighter southeasterly to northeasterly winds with speeds ranging from 10 to 25 km/h.

The National Center for Meteorology continues to monitor the weather conditions closely and will provide updates as necessary. The public is encouraged to stay alert and follow safety guidelines to mitigate any adverse effects from the forecasted weather.
