RIYADH, March 20 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — The Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) is set to host the third edition of the Sharjah Animation Conference (SAC 2025), an annual international platform bringing together leading figures in the animation industry to shape the future of animated storytelling.

The conference will take place from May 1 to 4 at Expo Centre Sharjah, organized in collaboration with Italy’s Bergamo Animation Days (BAD). The four-day event will feature discussions on industry trends, cutting-edge technologies, and emerging opportunities, reinforcing Sharjah’s growing status as a hub for visual arts and global animation talent.

SAC 2025 will present a line-up of 72 international speakers delivering 26 specialised workshops, 21 panel discussions, exclusive film screenings, and exhibitions. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with renowned directors, illustrators from global studios, and award-winning artists, offering a platform for collaboration and creative exchange.

Khoula Al Mujaini, Executive Director of SAC, highlighted that the third edition will serve as a global meeting point for exchanging expertise and exploring innovations in the fast-evolving animation sector. She added that hosting the event alongside the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival will enable stronger collaborations between publishers, authors, and animation creators, expanding the reach of literary works through visual storytelling.

“Animation is a universal language that transcends borders, cultures, and generations,” Al Mujaini said. “Through SAC, we aim to celebrate this remarkable art form, inspire future creatives, and create a space where industry leaders can connect and push the boundaries of animation.”
