Special Hajj Stamp Launched by Saudi Arabia to Streamline Pilgrimage Experience: Makkah Route Initiative Enhances Services for Pilgrims

RIYADH - The Ministry of Interior of Saudi Arabia, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Passports, has launched a special stamp as part of the “Makkah Route Initiative” to ease the journey of Hajj pilgrims from seven countries.

The stamp, which features the visual identity of the initiative, will be available in dedicated processing halls at 11 airports across Morocco, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Türkiye, and Côte d’Ivoire.

Now in its sixth year, the Makkah Route Initiative is part of the broader program of serving pilgrims, one of the key programs under Saudi Vision 2030. The initiative is implemented in cooperation with several government agencies, reflecting the Kingdom’s commitment to enhancing the Hajj experience for pilgrims.

The initiative aims to streamline the arrival procedures for pilgrims through pre-clearance at their departure points, reducing waiting times and providing a smoother journey to the Kingdom.

The launch of the special stamp is seen as a significant step towards achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which includes plans to accommodate more than 30 million Umrah pilgrims by 2030 and provide them with great services that enhance their spiritual experience.

The Ministry of Interior expressed its hope that the new stamp would contribute to facilitating the journey of the pilgrims and enhancing their Hajj experience, in line with the Kingdom’s continuous efforts to serve the guests of the Rahman.
