Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to Begin Two-Day State Visit to Russia on Monday


Muscat, April 20 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of the Sultanate of Oman will begin a two-day state visit to the Russian Federation on Monday, in response to an official invitation from President Vladimir Putin, according to a statement issued by the Diwan of Royal Court and reported by Oman News Agency (ONA) on Saturday.


The visit is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and explore broader cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Russian Federation, in line with the shared aspirations of both nations to deepen strategic ties across various sectors.


According to the official statement, the visit underscores the commitment of both countries to advancing collaboration in fields of mutual interest, including political dialogue, economic development, investment, energy, and cultural exchange. Discussions will focus on enhancing joint cooperation frameworks to better serve the long-term interests of the two countries.


The two heads of state will also exchange views on key regional and international developments, with the aim of fostering a common understanding on pressing global issues.


This high-level diplomatic engagement reflects Oman’s balanced foreign policy approach and its active role in supporting dialogue and partnership on the international stage.
