The Dubai Airshow Returns In November, Exhibiting Global Aerospace Trends



The 18th Dubai Airshow will be held from November 13th to 17th, 2023 at Dubai World Central (DWC), Dubai Airshow Site



PARIS, France - The Dubai Airshow has risen in relevance and influence over the years, as seen by the success of the November 2021 edition, which saw more than US$74 billion in transactions signed.


More than 104,000 people attended, and the number of trade visitors, including top executives from 148 countries, increased by 50 percent.


The event, which is being held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, is supported by key aviation industry players such as Dubai Airports, the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA), the UAE Ministry of Defence, Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects (DAEP), and the UAE Space Agency.


The current edition will highlight sustainability initiatives and technology from government agencies and the wider aerospace industry, underscoring the UAE's steadfast commitment to promoting sustainable circulatory ahead of the COP28 meeting in Dubai.


Around the country, industry players continue to invest in new projects and initiatives, such as Emirates operating its first demo aircraft fueled by 100 percent Sustainable Aviation Fuel and Dubai Airports adopting efficiency and creative solutions.


The development of electric and hybrid eVTOLs, as well as the publication of the world's first national vertiport rules by the DCAA, all lead to significant growth in the aerial mobility sector.


As the president of Dubai Airports, the President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, and the Chairman and CEO of Emirates Airline and Group, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum stated, "Dubai remains the epicentre of confidence, innovation, and expansion of the global aviation industry, representing our position as a leading global aviation and aerospace hub''.


''During The Year Of Sustainability in the UAE, Dubai Airshow 2023 will bring together leading from the aerospace and defence sectors to create pathways for sustainable industry practices, as we collectively work to create greater connectivity and efficiency'', he continued.


Industry trailblazers and innovators will gather at the Dubai Airshow to discover future trends and further chances to continue these efforts. Additional relevant issues include space technology, localization through the ''Made it in the Emirates'' campaign, and the role of start-ups and their significant contribution to achieving sustainability goals.
