The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced a three-day period of mourning following the death of Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Representative of the Ruler of Abu Dhabi, who passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023. The Presidential Court issued a statement expressing its deep sorrow and condolences to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, family. The statement also declared that the flags will be flown at half-mast across the country and its embassies abroad for three days, starting from Thursday until Saturday, July 29.
