UAE President’s Cup Series for Purebred Arabian Horses Launches 32nd Edition in Tunisia

Tunis, April 19 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Under the patronage and guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, the 32nd edition of the UAE President’s Cup Series for Purebred Arabian Horses will officially commence on Sunday at the Ksar Said racecourse in Tunisia.
This year’s edition marks a significant milestone in the history of Arabian horse racing, with the total prize pool exceeding AED15 million, the highest in the Cup's history. The initiative reflects the UAE’s strategic commitment to preserving the global legacy of the Arabian horse and supporting owners and breeders around the world.
The Tunisian leg will feature a Group 1 race on a 2000-meter dirt track, attracting 15 of the finest contenders from Tunisia and North Africa aged four and above. With a prize fund of TND 500,000, it stands as one of Tunisia’s most valuable and competitive races.
Among the leading competitors are Libya’s Hatim, a descendant of TM Fred Texas, and Lasvegas. Other notable entries include Irak, Izmir, Jaloud Carthage, Joussour El Arab, Kaser, Khaddem, Nafe'eh, Nar Shalgoda, Nahr Ennil, and Bosse de Salute.
The UAE President’s Cup Series for Purebred Arabian Horses, organised under the Supreme Organising Committee, has announced an expansive 2025 calendar consisting of 17 international races. Following the opening event in Tunisia, the series will move to Morocco, France, the USA, Italy, Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Russia, Belgium, Turkey, the UK, Poland, Egypt, Libya, and Saudi Arabia. Each leg will showcase elite Arabian horse racing and further promote the sport on a global scale.
Faisal Al Rahmani, Secretary General of the UAE President’s Cup Series, emphasised the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed in transforming the global Arabian horse racing industry. “We anticipate an exceptional season filled with success, thanks to the generous support and new initiatives introduced under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour – the global revitaliser of the Arabian horse,” he said.
He noted that the initiatives for the 2025 season underscore the UAE’s leadership in the field and its aim to support the development of stables, increase the quality of horse production, and raise the standard of global competition.
Al Rahmani also extended appreciation to Tunisia for its extensive efforts in preparing to host this landmark event, highlighting the country’s legacy in producing champions and its vital role in Arab horse racing. He added that the level of participation from owners in Tunisia and North Africa signals a strong and promising start to the new season.
