UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Holds Talks with Jordan’s King Abdullah II in Abu Dhabi

RIYADH, March 25 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held talks on Monday with His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, focusing on strengthening the fraternal relations and cooperation between the two nations and exploring ways to enhance ties for mutual benefit.


The meeting, which took place at Qasr Al Bateen in Abu Dhabi, was part of a fraternal visit by King Abdullah II to the UAE. Sheikh Mohamed welcomed King Abdullah, emphasizing the deep-rooted historical bonds between the UAE and Jordan and highlighting their shared commitment to expanding cooperation in all fields to meet the aspirations of their peoples.


The discussions also covered regional developments, with particular attention to efforts aimed at securing a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, ensuring the continuous delivery of humanitarian aid, and firmly rejecting any attempts to forcibly displace the Palestinian people from their land. Both leaders underscored the importance of intensifying joint efforts to promote regional stability and prevent further escalation of conflict.


Sheikh Mohamed and King Abdullah reaffirmed their dedication to continued fraternal consultation and coordination on issues of mutual concern, in a manner that strengthens the interests of both nations and supports broader Arab unity and cooperation.


Following the meeting, Sheikh Mohamed hosted an iftar banquet in honor of King Abdullah II and his accompanying delegation.


The meeting was attended by several senior UAE officials, including His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court; H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; and H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, among others.

The Jordanian delegation included Dr. Jafar Hassan, Prime Minister; Ayman Al Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates; and senior Jordanian officials.

King Abdullah II concluded his visit and departed from Al Bateen Airport, where he was seen off by President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and senior UAE officials.
