Weather Alert: Thundershowers and Strong Winds Forecasted Across Several Regions in Saudi Arabia




According to the National Center for Meteorology, thundershowers accompanied by strong winds are forecasted for several regions in Saudi Arabia. These regions include Jazan, Asir, Baha, Makkah, Madinah, Hail, and Qassim, extending to some parts of the Northern Borders, Eastern, and Riyadh regions. Additionally, fog formation is expected in some parts of these regions.


Over the Red Sea, winds are expected to be northerly to northwesterly in the northern part, registering a speed of 12 to 34km/h. In the central part, winds are expected to be northwesterly to southwesterly, registering a speed of 10 to 30km/h. In the southern part, winds are expected to be southeasterly to southwesterly, registering a speed of 15 to 35km/h.


In the Arabian Gulf, the wind will be southerly to southeasterly in the northern part, registering a speed of 12 to 32km/h with thunderstorms. In the central and southern parts, the wind will be easterly to southeasterly, registering a speed of 10 to 28km/h.
