Weather Alert: Thunderstorms, Rain, and Gusty Winds Expected in Parts of Saudi Arabia

February 3, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The National Center for Meteorology forecasts partly cloudy to cloudy skies with thunderstorms and rain, accompanied by gusty winds, in parts of Jazan, Aseer, and Al-Baha. Fog formation is also expected in these areas, reducing visibility.

Dust-stirring winds will affect Makkah, Madinah, and Tabuk, potentially impacting travel conditions.

Marine Conditions:

• Red Sea: Northeasterly to northwesterly winds at 15-35 km/h in the north and center, and southwesterly to southeasterly winds reaching 12-45 km/h in the south. Waves may range from 0.5 to over 2 meters, with relatively choppy conditions.

• Arabian Gulf: Northwesterly winds at 18-38 km/h, with waves ranging from 1 to 2 meters, making the sea relatively calm to choppy.

Residents and travelers are advised to exercise caution, especially in areas expecting heavy rain, strong winds, and reduced visibility due to fog and dust.
