Weather Alert: Thunderstorms, Strong Winds, and Fog Expected in Parts of Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, November 20 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The National Center for Meteorology has issued a weather alert for today, forecasting thunderstorms and strong winds in parts of Jazan, Aseer, and Al-Baha regions, with the possibility of fog in these areas and parts of the Eastern region.

Additional forecasts include partly cloudy skies and light rain in parts of Al-Jawf and the Northern Borders. Strong winds are expected to reduce visibility in parts of Tabuk, Madinah, Makkah (especially coastal areas), and western Riyadh.

Marine Conditions

  • Red Sea: Winds will be northwesterly to northerly at 12-50 km/h, with wave heights ranging from 0.5 to over 2 meters. The sea will be calm to choppy.

  • Arabian Gulf: Winds will be southeasterly to northeasterly at 10-35 km/h in the northern and southern parts and 10-25 km/h in the southern part. Waves are expected to reach 0.5 to 1 meter, and the sea will remain relatively calm.

Residents are advised to exercise caution, particularly in areas affected by reduced visibility, thunderstorms, and strong winds. Mariners are urged to remain vigilant due to potentially choppy sea conditions.
