ZATCA Urges Withholding Tax Submissions by April 10 to Avoid Penalties

Riyadh, April 6 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has called on all establishments subject to withholding tax to submit their tax forms for March 2025 no later than April 10, 2025.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the authority urged taxpayers to file their forms through its official portal (zatca.gov.sa) to avoid financial penalties. According to ZATCA, a 1% fine of the unpaid tax amount will be imposed for every 30 days of delay beyond the due date.

The authority reminded taxpayers that withholding tax applies to all payments originating from a source in Saudi Arabia to non-resident parties without a permanent establishment in the Kingdom. The tax is regulated under Article 68 of the Income Tax Law and Article 63 of its Executive Regulations.

ZATCA also encouraged businesses seeking further information to contact its 24/7 call center (19993), the “Ask ZATCA” account on the X platform, email (info@zatca.gov.sa), or use the live chat feature available on its website.

The reminder forms part of the authority’s ongoing efforts to promote compliance and ensure timely tax submissions across the Kingdom’s business sector.
